Senator Wyland's o
ffice presented Resolutions to two of our business partners in recognition of their outstanding partnerships with the WorkAbility I program at San Marcos Unified School District. The businesses honored by Senator Wyland for their partnership with San Marcos Unified School District were: Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation (Village Square) and Residence Inn by Marriott - San Diego North/San Marcos.
Both businesses partner with SMUSD's WorkAbility I W.E.S.T. program (Work Experience for Students in Transition) to provide work experience and internship opportunities for our students. These partnerships are instrumental in providing students mentorship, guidance, supervised training and on-going evaluation. This has played an important and necessary part in allowing students to achieve success and confidence, not only at their training site, but also in life.
