2021-2022 School Year

CA-20091 Unit Goals 2021-2022 School Year

As Cadets
- Each Cadet will attain at least one hour of flight time per semester on the flight simulator throughout the school year by spending one day per week each class performing at least one flight.
- Unit leaders will plan a minimum of five field trips throughout the year in order to increase unit bonding, demonstrate curriculum outside of the classroom, and explore new career opportunities.

As A Community
- Cadets will dedicate 2,000 hours of service by assisting the school and local community by participating in at least two off campus and two on campus events with a 100% unit participation overall.
- Through the use of presentations and videos, cadets will raise awareness of veterans in our community in partnership with the mayor by hosting 2 events with the VFW to show our appreciation for their service.

As A School
- By collaborating with school organizations such as ASB, Knight's News and Yearbook, the unit will display its activities to the school through posters, blubs, and media to build stronger school knowledge of the unit and aid in recruiting students into the unit.
- Promote recruitment within the surrounding leader middle schools by giving presentations through a recruitment team, creating videos illustrating classroom activities and hosting field days to build stronger bonds between feeder schools and the unit.

AFJROTC - Developing citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community!

Who Are We?

SMHS AFJROTC CA-20091 was founded in 2009; created to promote the values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence among the students of San Marcos High.

Our Mission

Cadets in the program experience an opportunity that no other class can provide. Aerospace science, physical training, Air Force history, military drill, dress and appearance, and life skills are just a few of the subjects that are taught over the course of a year.
