Student Teacher Observation Procedures

Welcome to San Marcos High School!

We are pleased to help you in your pursuit of a teaching credential.

Please take the time to look at our website and familiarize yourself with our campus' philosophy and culture. We ask that you take the time to consider your visit by setting up an observation schedule with our credential liaison, and then by projecting a professional image when observing. Additionally, we ask that you not involve yourself in the class unless instructed by the classroom teacher.

Contact our teaching credential liaison, Bill Zeigler, at [email protected] to set up all observations. Bill will work with you to set up the best schedule to meet your needs and to notify administration of your arrival. You must show documentation from the institution depicting the need to observe, for example a syllabus, letter of intent, or professor note.

You will be required to check in at the Administration Office and get a visitor’s pass by providing your current driver’s license.

We ask that you dress appropriately and professionally and carry current student identification at all times.

You are on your way!
