SMHS FootballSMHSStay Focused Be Positive

Football Families,
If you have not already signed up to help work the snack bar at football games please do so ASAP.  We are asking all parents to help out at some level. If you son plays at the varsity level then please sign up for the JV level and if your son plays at the JV level then please signup for the Varsity. We do not need anyone to run the freshman snack bar so freshman parents can work either the Varsity or JV.
If you have any questions please direct them toward Tara Razi <tara.razi@smusd.org> who is in charge of our snack bar.
Thanks,
Coach Stank

The freshman fundamentals night is a time that all incoming freshman are welcome to come and meet the coaches for a 2 1/2 hour football fundamentals practice.  This is an optional event as nothing is mandatory until Aug. 1st.  It is however a great time to get all interested freshman up to speed with some of the summer training they will be doing with the upperclassman.  There will NOT be any upperclassman at these two nights as they are not allowed to workout with freshman until the school year has ended.

This year we will be having our Lift-A-Thon to try and raise money to improve our weight room facilities.  We have put thousands of dollars into our facility in the last few months but have much more to do including the purchasing of 8 Hammer Strength platforms and 16 half rack inserts.  This is a very large expense that will cost over $40,000 so every penny we can raise will help.  We will have spirt wear for sale at this event.  If you know of anyone or any business that wants to support this program please have them donate to help improve our weight room.  So much a program success happens in the off season in-between these weight room wall.

Summer workouts are essential for this program on all levels to be ready for the start of camp on Aug. 1st.  "The best way to predict the future is to create it"  This is what the summer is all about.  It is the foundation for our conditioning, the continued base of our strength, and the connection of our team.  We need as many football players there on a daily basis and please know that your absents will be felt not just by you but by the program.  If you can not make it please email me the week of to inform me.

Football Families,
The 2nd round of our team store is now LIVE.  Please visit the site and make your purchase as the store will close on Sunday June 23rd.  There will not be another store until the start of the season so if you want your gear for the first game, order now.
Here is the link to the Football Apparel Team Store

Football Families,
If you are invested in purchasing a Riddell football helmet and or shoulder pads please visit the online store by June 10th.  You do NOT need to purchase your own as the school does provide these items for all athletes.
The only only thing we ask athletes to purchase is a girdle. You can also buy these on this site or at a retailer of your choice.
