E-Bike & Bicycle Permit Program + Safety Workshops
Students who ride an e-bike or bicycle to and from school are required to have an SMUSD permit. This applies to students attending Double Peak School, San Elijo Middle School, San Marcos Middle School, Woodland Park Middle School, Mission Hills High School, and San Marcos High School. Students without a permit will not be allowed to park their bike on campus.
To support safe riding, San Marcos Unified School District, in partnership with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office and the City of San Marcos, is offering free e-bike and bicycle safety workshops. These workshops align with the City of San Marcos’ e-bike ordinance, which requires riders to be 12 years of age or older.
