Welcome to San Marcos High School's "AP Central"!

San Marcos High School offers over 20 Advanced Placement classes ranging from AP English Language and AP Government to AP Statistics and AP Environmental Science to Computer Science Principles and Studio Art (complete list below). All courses have been approved by the AP Audit as rigorous, college-level courses.

Please check the AP Exam schedule for exam dates, times, and locations.

All AP Students must attend a Pre-Administration session to prepare for the AP Exams; students will only need to attend one, no matter how many exams they take. Some World, US, and Government classes will be giving the Pre-Administration in their classes. Otherwise, students will need to attend an after-school session in room 263.

Pre-Administration sessions will be held in room 263 at 3:15 pm.

Students must attend ONE session.

Most History classes will offer the Pre-Administration in class.

Sessions will be announced in April.

AP exams will cost $94, as dictated by College Board, and will be paid at the finance office. Fee waivers may be available to families based on family income (see the Fee Waiver forms) and the forms will be available in the spring. Fee waivers are due to Mr. Zeigler in room 263.

To offset the lines outside the finance office, students will pay in waves based on class:
     -Seniors will pay 4-8 March
     -Juniors will pay 11-15 March
-Sophomores and Freshmen will pay 18-22 March

Students and parents may pay through the school's Webstore at any time from 4-21 March 2019.

Parents and students who will be paying the full cost of the AP Exams may use the online SMHS WebStore, which can be accessed from the main page or http://webstores.activenetwork.com/school-software/san_marcos_high_scho/, at any time. If your student is taking multiple exams, you can pay for them using a credit or debit card over many months or in one payment.
