Meet the Library Staff

    Education & Work: Mrs. Chou has a BS in Industrial Technology, a MS in Industrial & Technical Studies from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is in the process of obtaining a Library & Information Technology Certificate from Palomar College. Mrs. Chou has worked in the district for over 9 years, first at SEMS and now at SMHS. 

    Life: Mrs. Chou lives in San Marcos with her husband and two teens. She has two daughters, one of whom has graduated from San Marcos High School and the other who is currently enrolled. 

    Hobbies: Mrs. Chou enjoys traveling, baking, playing board games with family, and going to the movies. Her favorite books are The Invention of Hugo Cabret, The Summer I Turned Pretty, The Divergent Series, and any travel book.

    Education & Work: Mrs. Bolster attended Utah State University and has worked for the San Marcos School District for 21 years. Previously, she worked in advertising and public relations.

    Life: Mrs. Bolster is a true Knight, as she is a graduate of San Marcos High School. She has a daughter, three sons and an adorable grandson.

    Hobbies: Some of her favorite books are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. In addition to reading, Mrs. Bolster enjoys many outdoor activities such as geocaching, vegetable gardening, boating, and spending time with her family at the beach

    Education & Work:
    Mrs. Mansfeldt has a BS degree in Business Management and Marketing from Northeastern University in Chicago. Previously she was employed as a marketing and project manager at a graphic design company and
    worked as a professional photographer.

    Life: As a parent of 3 children enrolled in the SMUSD she’s thrilled to be at the SMHS library.

    Hobbies: Rebecca loves spending time with her family, photography, music, and traveling. Her favorite place is a
    place she’s never been.
